Do you always get what you want???

If you are reading this with thoughts of finding some really serious discussion, Sorry Buddy close the post, it is not for you because I am here just talking about my sleep. I think the title should have been "Do you always get when you want it" but that would have sounded that I am talking about something else, yeah you got me buddy ;)
So coming back to question do you always get what you want, when you want to sleep you start feeling your eyes all heavy; when you wanna wake up your eyes simply pops open and you get up all bright and shine. I mean this happens with each one of us, isnt it? when you got office/college or where ever you have to get your ass to in the morning but still you dont want to sleep, or rather you want to, but simply not able to :(
Now this is a serious situation, I know not like a life-death one but yeah pretty serious, atleast for me. This is the kind of problem for which you cant wake anybody, no man dont even think about waking up your wife or spouse because first of all she wont get up, second even if she does she will curse you a lot and you yourself will try to put her back to sleep; and if you two are totally into each other and she gets up to spend time with you and god forbids you fall asleep and she dont then you are a dead man :P
So what should I do?? If anyone out there got some good suggestion for me, except for reading (I simply hate to use books for reading, they are written for some greater purpose not to be your pillow), please share it me so that I can use them next Sunday night because this happens to me every Sunday night :P

Who runs the office?????

This question often pops up in my mind when ever I see a successful company, a great political leader or his campaign. Is it the CEO or the charismatic PM or President or some other great leader who represents his country/ company ,whatever it may be, or are there some other great minds behind the scene??
I personally believe that it cant be a job or work of one person, there has to be some cohesive effort, but doesn't that make it unethical, injustice to all those people who according to me put in the great efforts  and the glory simply goes to the captain. My theory itself cant be held true because then all the ideas, hard work everything was done by his team and the captain just turned out to be a lucky fellow who "just"  found these people.
In this hyper-competitive world nobody will just stick around just a lucky man, it needs much more than that to get the people work to their potential and it is this ability of a leader that makes the team deliver. No matter who works actually in the office but it is the leader who gave vision to the organization, who defines how the work will be done and then he just sits back and monitor, letting other people to come up with their best. He can help them in their chores but he cant nanny them, because no great mind likes authority and this thing leader knows very well. I don't believe in the saying that "You either can be a leader or a follower " because in today's world its very hard to find people who will just follow and personally wont even like to be a "shepherd". So a leader gives sense to his team that they themselves are their bosses and nobody is leading them just guiding or mentoring them from time to time.
So who ever is running the office it doesn't matter at all  because its the leader who is responsible to get this office running .If anything happens he will take a fall, so for the success, the glory should also come to him.

Same as my mood.....

Being forced to make tea by my roommate , I prepared tea absent mindedly poured in 2 cups again absent mindedly . While handing him the cup I uttered "The tea will taste same as my mood", he asked "And what will that be ??"; I: "Not so good....."

Dont you think this is what happens to us always in our lives. Your deliverance depends on your mood, no matter how good you are at that thing. Now its okay upto smaller chores like making tea but what about things which are vital for you. Suppose you are a professional tennis player, on day of an important match you wake with a really bad temperament, reason can be numerous ,something like a bad dream, or the coffee was really bad or your lucky chauffeur calls sick or it could be anything on which you dont have a control at all, then???? Will it affect your performance that day?? Will you let that match slip away??

Now , definitely, you cant do anything about such small incidents which can take your mood offtrack but as they say "No matter what, outcome always lies in your hand....". So next time your brain tells you "Naah I am not in mood today" tell it back "You better be because I wont let it slip away...."

Would you run away when life will give you a chance????????

Yesterday I saw add of Matrix- a beloved movie of our childhood or to be specific our teens- and I lost into memory of how after watching first part I started thinking is this reality, are all the things we see, we feel are ; how should I say it - destined , no not destined but programmed. This memory brings me to more vital question, if something same happens to you as it happened with Neo will you accept it or will swallow the pill??

This kind of situation may not present itself in the same scenario but yeah can give you an opportunity to leave everything behind and start it in a totally new way. Supposedly you have been kidnapped and been taken to totally unknown place and you start liking it, will you go back or will you not????
This is the kind of predicament I want you all to put yourself and think what you will do...

A Death that shook the nation

Today, when I pick up the news-paper it was just another day for me but the front page news changed it all. The news was of the Death of the Gang-rape victim from Delhi.I already knew about the incident, I had been  hearing the broadcasts from here and there but was never much moved, never in the past had been either. I am not a very great fan of the public protests, candle marches and all,it is not that I have something against them but I am too busy with my own life that not to bother myself with these incidents apart from the discussions  at tea-breaks, but this time its different.
After reading today's news, I am sad, I am feeling so much pain, anger in me. I don't wanna return to my daily routine, I wanna mourn for this poor girl, for this poor country, for our helplessness. After a long thought on why this is happening to us I realize that there is so much hatred in our hearts, we dont like each other otherwise how could we do anything such brutal with a fellow human being. Its not only guys raping victimizing girls, its this hatred- guys fighting over with each other on roads, colleagues fighting back-stabbing each other, we are in general in-furious, there is so much anger in us we want to take the whole world down, those who have power daily test it on weaker ones- whether its a strong guy beating a weaker one on road, a rich person abusing a poor or A MALE WHO THINKS HE IS ALL POWERFUL ABUSING BULLYING A HELPLESS GIRL.
Those who have power want to test in those who dont, the same attitude is shown by our Police force, Politicians and all. In our daily lives why do we fear so much from police or the lal battis, because we know and they also know that they are no ordinary people they have immense power/resources with them which they can use anytime against you. But this helplessness against these people, against the system is what is creating a boiling anger in us, in all the protesters in Delhi. The people want to take collectively some action, they want to revolt against this system which creates so much power-gap between the people of the same society, they want to show the police force and system of India, 'Common lets have a fight, till now you have been abusing us but no-more, bring on all your canons we dont fear you, we will fight against you, we will have justice, we will have what is rightfully ours' .
This is no Darwin's theory that rule of jungle will prevail, that only strong one has the right to survive, we are humans we have many power/senses apart from the physical strength that can we used to create a balance of power and one of them is surely the power to protest, to collectively fight against all the injustices done to us. This incident will definitely unite us, unite us for a cause.
सरफ़रोशी की तमन्ना अब हमारे दिल में है,
देखना है जोर कितना बाजु-ए-कातिल में है ।

A spell .......

Have you ever met some one with uncomparable boldness, with tough determination. His fearlessness and his fanatical enthusiasm amazed you.A person who is just willing to challenge everyone, even the devil, even God. No it isn't megalomania, its only flourishing life and a volcanic, raging outburst of awakening forces.
You always found his soul restless, always full on energy, always onto something. There's just no one to oppose him, no one dare to challenge him.

But... there is something, someone: a girl. A girl who dares to be near him. When she came over and sat down next to him: he seemed to become completely calm all of a sudden, freed of the burden of his alertness and quickness, freed of the weight of his incessant presence of mind, the torment of having constantly to outdo and surpass himself. Sitting next to her, you would have the impression that he'd like never to stand up again. He just don't want to be pulled back from the paradise of this precious effortlessness.
Just like when a trainer touches a restless horse and the animal just calms down, You can see the same effect, same calmness on him when she put her hand on his shoulder. He just look in awe at her simple actions, As simple action as she'd tie her shiny black hair into a ponytail with a rubber band.

He seems to be under some spell, a spell that could finally, though only brief moment of time, bring his ever running thoughts, to a standstill..

A crazy journey

Can it just happen that you found an old shabby book in  the corner of some second hand bookshop, you start reading it, and you just get lost in it. You forgot about everything else, your personal life, you get so engrossed in it, in the words, in the author that you set yourself on a whole new quest.

A quest to find more about the author, to peek into his real life. His writing style, his expressions fascinated you so much that you decide you want to know more. You want to know how this person lives, what are the surroundings which carved such sentiments in him, that he came up with these ideas, these thoughts.

A reader sets himself on this journey. Ok, but now the question comes up why he want to do it? Is he so bored of his own life that he now want to see 'how it would be to live the life of that author?' or is it because he find some resemblance in author's life, some solidarity in  author's  thoughts and he is intrigued to find out the circumstances?. Does he want to observe those circumstances and compare them to his own and see if he would have been in those,' would he have come up with same thoughts, same lines ? '.
